For the office of “Avika” company in the “Romanov Dvor” business center, Lichtschneider specialists carried out lighting reconstruction of public areas. The project was commissioned by RD Management company.

Lighting reconstruction in an operating facility is a separate type of task that differs significantly from designing from scratch. The solution must take into account existing architecture and engineering systems, real operational scenarios, requirements of current standards, and at the same time bring lighting to the current level — in terms of visual quality, energy efficiency and maintenance convenience. The approach to reconstruction affects both the cost of work and the final result.

Public areas of the business center — lobby, corridors, elevator halls, transitional spaces — form the first impression of the building and determine the comfort of employees and visitors throughout the day. Light here works for navigation, for representativeness, for the sense of space. During reconstruction, it is important to preserve the architectural solution while simultaneously improving the quality of the environment.

Work on such a project includes analysis of the existing condition, development of a solution, its technical documentation and implementation support. Experience with similar projects builds understanding of how light can change in an operating building without radical intervention in its structure.
