For the 50|60 hotel, Lichtschneider performed a complete lighting cycle: development of exterior and interior lighting concepts, lighting design, control system design, equipment supply, as well as programming and commissioning of the exterior and interior lighting control system.

Hotel lighting is a task where requirements for guest comfort, representativeness, and operational sustainability intersect. Light works on different levels: it forms the first impression from outside, guides guests through the entrance group and public areas, maintains atmosphere in rooms, and ensures functionality of technical and service spaces. Each zone has its own scenario — and each scenario requires a precise lighting solution.

The concept encompassed both exterior building lighting and interior spaces — with development of light character, color temperatures, source hierarchy, and principles of light interaction with architecture. The lighting design project translated the concept into technical documentation. A separate major component was the lighting control system: design, scenario programming, and commissioning enabled a flexible solution where light can change depending on time of day and operational mode.
