Butovo Mall Shopping and Entertainment Centre
For the “Butovo Mall” shopping center, Lichtschneider specialists developed an interior lighting design concept, performed lighting engineering design, and carried out equipment supply.
Interior lighting for a shopping center is a task where light simultaneously serves navigation, the representational quality of retail zones, and visitor comfort. Each public space — entrance areas, atriums, galleries, food courts, passages — has its own set of lighting objectives. In some places light guides people, in others it creates a pause, and elsewhere it supports tenant presentations. The concept unifies these diverse tasks into a single system.
During the concept development stage, the character of lighting by zones was determined, along with color temperature, source hierarchy, and principles of light interaction with architecture. The lighting engineering project translated the concept into the working plane: illumination level calculations, equipment selection, placement and connection schemes. Supply was carried out in accordance with the project — ensuring that the implemented solution corresponds to the original vision.
The “concept — project — supply” format within one company allows maintaining approach integrity at all stages and reducing risks of meaning loss when transferring the project between different contractors.
