Yuzhny Shopping and Entertainment Centre

Yuzhny Shopping Mall is a shopping and entertainment complex for which Stefan Schneider participated in the lighting design project as a key client development manager and lighting designer as part of the Tochka Opory company.

Each shopping center presents its own set of lighting requirements — depending on format, scale, location, architectural solution, and tenant mix. The lighting must be coordinated with all these parameters: lighting character, color temperatures, source hierarchy, accent distribution — all of this is formed individually for each project. Working on several different shopping center projects sequentially expands understanding of this variability.

Participating in the project as part of a specialized lighting company involved interaction with clients, architects, and contractors at different stages of work. This format provides the opportunity to go through the entire process — from initial task discussions to final equipment selection decisions. The accumulated experience becomes the foundation for subsequent projects in the same category.

Today, experience working with shopping centers forms the basis of Lichtschneider’s approach to shopping mall projects. The accumulated practices allow for more precise task formulation in early stages and proposing solutions coordinated with real operational scenarios.
